Bright House Field hosts Big East Baseball Championship

CLEARWATER - Bright House Field for The 2008 Big East Conference Baseball Championship begins Tuesday, May 20, and continues through the championship game on Saturday, May 24, at Bright House Field, 601 N. Old Coachman Road.
The championship game which will be televised on ESPNU.
To kick off the festivities, a free opening ceremony is scheduled on Monday, May 19, from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
At the opening ceremony, the conference will give out its annual awards for the 2008 season and interact with fans at autograph sessions.
The top eight teams in the Big East regular season standings will qualify to play in the conference championship. The winner of the Big East Championship will receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.
