CLEARWATER – The second annual Celebrity Golf Tournament to benefit the Clearwater High School Tornado football team, is set for Saturday, June 7, at Bardmoor Golf and Tennis Club, 8001 Cumberland Road, Largo. Registration and a continental breakfast is at 7 a.m., the driving range is open from 7 to 8 a.m., and a shotgun start is at 8 a.m.
There are sponsorship opportunities available and are due by Sunday, June 1.
Registration forms and payments must be received by Tuesday, June 3.
Celebrities this year include Jimmy Giles, Mike Alstott, Donnie Abraham, all from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as well as Ken Stills from the Green Bay Packers, and possibly Ronde Barber. This year there is also a $10,000 hole-in-one contest as well as great prizes such as jewelry, a weekend in a Cadillac from Dimmit, gift certificates to local restaurants and more.
There is also a need for businesses to donate raffle prizes or to donate items for the golfers’ goodie bags, such as business pens, paper pads, coupons or other items. Both options can generate business for the company.
