Gesneriad Society meeting
TAMPA – The Tampa Bay Gesneriad Society will meet on Saturday, July 19, 10 a.m., at the offices of Dr. Martinez, 402 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Phyllis King will give a presentation on chrysothemis. The public is invited. Call Corinne at 447-2898.

Bromeliad Guild meeting
TAMPA - The monthly meeting of the Bromeliad Guild of Tampa Bay is Monday, July 21, at the Tampa Garden Center, 2625  Bayshore Blvd. in Tampa. Club president, Tom Wolfe, will narrate a power point presentation on the events of an Extravaganza Show and what it all involves. Lots of beautiful bromeliad pictures were taken at last years show in Ft. Lauderdale, some rare and not normally seen, will be shared by Tom's wife, Carol. There will be plant sales, refreshments, and a plant raffle also. For more information, call 961-1475 or 855-0938 for more information.

Florida-Friendly Landscaping Series – Principles Class
LARGO - Join in a five-session gardening course that will teach Florida-Friendly landscape design and maintenance principles on Tuesday, July 22, 6:30 to 9 p.m., at Pinellas County Extension, 12520 Ulmerton Road, Largo. A garden tour will point out examples of course principles in action. Classes continue on the Tuesdays of July 29, Aug. 19, Sept. 9 and Sept 23. Take one class or all five. Tuition is $15 per class or $60 for the entire series. Call 727-582-2673 to register.

Compost Happens Workshop
Join Pinellas County Extension experts for Compost Happens Workshop on Saturday, July 26, 10 to 11:30 a.m., at Pinellas County Extension, 12520 Ulmerton Road, Largo.
