Tampa Bay Devil Rays going high definition

ST. PETERSBURG - The Tampa Bay Devil Rays announced two upcoming games will be broadcast in 720p high definition on WXPX, ION Television.

The Rays vs. the Boston Red Sox at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, July 27-28, will be carried in high definition over the air on WXPX digital channel 66-1. Cable high definition coverage will also be carried by Brighthouse on digital cable channel 651. Standard definition coverage will remain on over the air channel 66 as well as Brighthouse cable channel 17.

“Rays are striving to provide the best viewing experience for our fans via the latest technology,” said Mark Fernandez, Rays Senior Vice President/Chief Sales Officer. “It is our goal to add more HD games this season and increase that number in 2008.”
