Native Plant Society plans meeting

PINELLAS COUNTY – The Pinellas Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 7 p.m., at Moccasin Lake Nature Park, 2750 Park Trail Lane, Clearwater.

The meeting will feature a native plant yard tour overview, providing a preview in preparation for the upcoming tour of Pinellas FNPS members’ yards.

Hosts will describe their yards, highlighting favorite specimen plants and telling what goals they had in mind as they developed their landscapes.

The society also will host a plant sale on Saturday, Oct. 6, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Brooker Creek Preserve, 3940 Keystone Road, Tarpon Springs.
