House of Beer two-man scramble DUNEDIN – The House of Beer two-man scramble golf tournament will be held Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Dunedin Golf Club, 1050 Palm Blvd., with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The fee for those who register early is $75, which includes two free beers. Prizes will be awarded for hole in one, longest drive, closest to pin, first place, second place and third place. A raffle and other contests will be held.
The gold sponsorship is $500, silver sponsorship is $200 and bronze sponsorship is $100. Registration on the day of the event will be held at 11:30 a.m. lunch is available. Dunedin City Invitational Golf Tournament DUNEDIN – The 35th Dunedin City Invitational Golf Tournament will be held Sept. 28, 1 p.m., at the Dunedin Golf Club, 1050 Palm Blvd. The four-person scramble tournament will include lunch, golf, dinner, silent auction, raffle prizes and an award ceremony.
Chi Chi Charity Classic CLEARWATER – The 35th annual Chi Chi Charity Classic will be Sunday and Monday, Nov. 16-17, at Chi Chi Rodriguez Golf Club, 3030 N. McMullen Booth Road. Rodriguez hosts this traditional 35-year-old event entertaining and thanking guests who will enjoy two days of golf at the Chi Chi Rodriguez Golf Club with breakfast and lunch.
On Sunday evening, Rodriguez is joined by top business and civic leaders both local and from around the country who support the mission of dropout prevention in Pinellas County.
Guests will enjoy a Journey to Success full sit-down dinner and program sponsored by Lee Roy Selmon’s of Palm Harbor. On Monday, Rodriguez joins the students and teachers at breakfast, spending time talking one on one with the students and sharing his story of inspiration and how they also can win at the game of life. Following the Monday tournament, players will enjoy a lunch catered by Carrabba’s Macaroni Grill during the final awards ceremony.
This two-day golf event raises money to help support the Chi Chi Rodriguez Academy and its three programs: The Academy, The First Tee of Clearwater, and The Boys & Girls Club After-School Program. More than 900 children attend these programs, providing them with a safe healthy environment to learn and grow. The Academy serves at-risk fourth- through eighth-graders in a privately supported public school, using the golf course as a living classroom.
