The Pinellas Golf Association, a newly launched business, will offer a competitive golf tournament every Saturday afternoon at private and semi-private courses in Pinellas County.
Open to golfers of all ages and skill levels, the tournaments will use the quota point game and award cash prizes to the winners. The more players there are in a competition, the larger the prize pool will be.
Pinellas Golf Association kicked off its first tournament on Sept. 7, at Isla Del Sol Yacht and Country Club in St. Petersburg. The game moves north to East Lake Woodlands Country Club in Oldsmar on Saturday, Sept. 14. The association will be at the Bayou Club in Largo on Sept. 21 and at Countryside Country Club in Clearwater on Sept. 28.
Golfers who become a member of Pinellas Golf Association will be entitled to register for tournaments at a lower rate than nonmembers. The registration fee for members is $60; for nonmembers, $75. The annual membership fee is $50.
Pinellas Golf Association offers the convenience of registering for tournaments online. Players also can register at the tournament venue.
