Safe boating course set at St. Petersburg College
Article published on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007
SEMINOLE – St. Petersburg College will offer a boater safety class on Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Seminole campus library.

This one-day, eight-hour classroom and hands-on course, uses the State of Florida boaters curriculum and is designed for boaters who cannot find the time for a multi-week boater course.

The class meets the requirements for certification of youthful operators of a vessel with 10-horsepower motors or larger. It is offered as a mandatory education class for boating violators.

The course is also a great refresher course for any boater and may be used for boater insurance discount credit.

The next class is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 10. To register, call SPC’s Lifelong Learning department at 341-3184 or visit www.spcollege.edu/LifelongLearning.
