Tournament raises funds for Warhawk's Basketball SEMINOLE – The 15th annual Seminole High School Boy’s Basketball Golf Tournament will be Saturday, Oct. 7, at East Bay Golf Club in Largo. Registration is a noon, with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Sponsored by the Seminole Warhawk Boy’s Basketball Booster Club to support the program at the High School. Warhawks Classic benefits high school baseball SEMINOLE - Sponsors are now being accepted for the First Annual Warhawk Golf Classic, set for Oct. 7 at Pasadena Golf and Country Club. Registration is 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Sponsored by the Warhawks Baseball Booster Club, the tournament raises money to support the baseball program at Seminole High School. Blessed Sacrament announces date of 18th annual tournament SEMINOLE - Blessed Sacrament School 18th Annual Golf Tournament Saturday, Oct. 7, at The Tides Country Club at 11832 66th Ave. N. The four-person best ball scramble will begin at 8 a.m. Registration forms are available in the school office at 11501 66th Ave. N. Applications will be accepted at the tournament until 7:45 a.m. The $75 entry fee includes cart, greens fees, coffee and donuts prior to the shotgun start as well as a luncheon afterward. The tourney is open to men and women amateur golfers. Special holes consist of closest to the pin holes and longest drive holes. Raffle prizes will be drawn during the luncheon. Tournament to benefit Community Service Foundation PALM HARBOR - The 11th Annual Golf Classic to benefit Community Service Foundation will be at Lansbrook Golf Club on Monday, Oct. 9, with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. The cost is $395 for each golf team or $125 for nonplayer sponsorship. Included are four-player scramble, box lunches, dinner banquet, contests and prizes. Community Service Foundation Inc. is a provider of affordable housing programs and services to Pinellas County lower-income households. The club is at 4605 Village Center Drive. Ridgecrest YMCA plans golf tournament BELLEAIR – The Greater Ridgecrest Branch YMCA second annual Multi-Cultural Achievers Golf Tournament will be played on Friday, Oct. 13, at the Belleview Biltmore, 1501 Indian Rocks Road. Golfers to play 18 holes at Seminole Lake Country Club SEMINOLE - The 21st golf tournament committee, headed up by John Elias and Doc Kinsey, is a four-person scramble, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 19, at Seminole Lake Country Club. The Seminole Professional Firefighters will return to cook up hot dogs and burgers at the grill. There will be time to eat and mingle before the shotgun start at 1 p.m. Golfers will have an opportunity to play the 18 holes at Seminole Lake Country Club, 6100 Augusta Blvd. N. Tournament benefits Children's Therapy Services MADEIRA BEACH – The Holiday Isles Elks Lodge No. 1912 Golf Tournament will be Saturday, Oct. 21, at Baypointe Golf Club, 9399 Commodore Drive, Largo, to benefit Children’s Therapy Services and Youth Camp. All Children’s Guild hosts tournament BELLEAIR – The 13th Annual All Children’s Hospital Charity Golf Tournament will be Saturday, Oct. 28. Double shotgun is 8 a.m. or 1 p.m. at the Belleview Biltmore Golf Club, 1501 Indian Rocks Road, Belleair. Sponsored by the Seminole/Largo All Children’s Hospital Guild. Sailing and beach associations plan first-ever golf tournament OLDSMAR - The Clearwater Community Sailing Association and the Clearwater Beach Association will host their first annual golf tournament on Monday, Oct. 30, at Eastlake Woodlands Country Club - North Course. The event will feature a golf scramble, goodie bags, prizes, box lunch, dinner and cash bar, silent auction and raffle. An awards dinner featuring comedian G. David Howard will complete the day. Cost is $125 a player. Participants can play again for the price of the cart fee. Hole sponsorships are $100. The event will help the Clearwater Community Sailing Center provide equipment and scholarships so children, seniors and the physically challenged can participate in the sport of sailing. Big Al's Golf Scramble raises funds for The Hospice CLEARWATER - The 11th Annual Big Al's Golf Tournament will take place at the Belleview Biltmore Golf Club on Saturday, Nov. 4. The community fundraiser is hosted by the Gelep family in honor of their father, Alexander Gelep. Last year the tournament raised more than $10,000 to support the patients and families served by The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. For more information, call Jamie Gelep at 727-466-0075.
