CLEARWATER BEACH – The $60,000 Corona Light Big Shot Volleyball series will make a stop at Clearwater Beach Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 21-22.

Players of all skill levels will be eligible for play in the tournament sponsored by Corona Light. There will be divisions for intermediate and novice level events with players competing for merchandise prizes from Wilson volleyballs, Venus swimwear, Native eyewear, Spike Nashbar, Vincere Sand Socks, Six Pak Volleygear, Park and Sun net systems, and Iron Horse Bicycles.

Three final tournaments in Florida this month round out the 35 tournament series that has awarded more than $60,000 cash prizes throughout the season that started March 1 in Clearwater Beach. Players from more than 20 states and Canada will compete for a share of the cash prizes during the three Florida events.

Tournament play will be on the south end of the beach, across from the Red Roof Inn, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, with playoffs from 4 to 6 p.m. both days.

There will be a players party at Shephard’s Saturday night. The cost is $50 a team, free to spectators. Visit www.eevb.net.
