WFC brings Cage Wars to Tampa

TAMPA - The weigh-in for fighters competing in the Mixed Martial Arts event, Worold Fighting Championships V: Cage Wars is Thursday, Oct. 25, 7:30 p.m. in the ballroom at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino. The main event is Oct. 26, 7 p.m., at the Florida State Fairgrounds.

This is an opportunity to watch what the fighters need to go through to qualify for the event with the Florida State Boxing Commission and make weight. All fighters, including Marcus Jones, will be available for photographs as well as autographs. The event is free and open to the public.

WFC presents an evening of live mixed martial arts competitions on Friday, Oct. 26, 7 p.m., in the Expo Hall of the Florida State Fairgrounds.

The fight card includes talent from around the world including the professional MMA debut of Marcus Jones, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers football player.

Pre-event musical entertainment will be provided by rock powerhouse band FiftyFifty. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the first fight begins at 8 p.m. General admission tickets are $25 and VIP seating ticket prices range from $50 to $100.
