CLEARWATER BEACH – Clearwater Yacht Club sailors Tim Roberts and Jay Meyers sailed to victory in a blustery Clearwater Challenge on Oct. 28 and 29.

The event saw some extreme winds on Saturday, but Capt. Tim Roberts and his crew on Chances R sailed to victory in the True Cruisers category.

Jay Meyers and his team on Mystic fought the elements and grabbed first place in the non-spin category.

Also putting up a good fight for CYC was Jeffrey Marks on Wasabi, who took a second place in the Spin A category.

The PRO was David Billing and the event was chaired by Joan Wright. Many race committee volunteers worked tirelessly on both land and sea to run the event for Clearwater Yacht Club.
