OLDSMAR – The Mammography Voucher Program at Morton Plant Mease will benefit from the upcoming 2014 Drive for a Cure golf tournament.
The golf benefit is presented to raise awareness about breast health and support local efforts to offer free mammograms through the Mammography Voucher Program.
The Drive for a Cure golf event, organized by the East Lake Woodlands golfers, will be Friday, Feb. 28, at the East Lake Woodlands Country Club, 1055 East Lake Woodlands Parkway.
Check-in starts at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The dinner and auction will begin at 5 p.m.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Mammography Voucher Program services at Morton Plant Mease, as well as the Florida Suncoast Affiliate of Susan G. Komen. The Mammography Voucher Program provides free breast screenings, diagnostics, and treatments for uninsured or underinsured women in Pinellas County.
Last year, event organizers donated more than $24,000 to help provide breast health education and screenings.
Registration is $75 for golf, cart, snacks, and dinner if signed up by Feb. 10. Registration after Feb. 10 is $85. Dinner only is $35.
