Pet Pal Rescue volunteer meeting scheduled for Jan. 11

ST. PETERSBURG - Start the new year off by volunteering. What better way than helping rescued dogs and cats. Pet Pal Rescue, a no kill shelter in St. Petersburg, invites interested animal lovers to attend its monthly volunteer meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 6:30 pm. The meeting will be at the animal shelters new facility in St. Petersburg.
The hour-long meeting will focus on plans for the shelters Puppy Love Benefit on March 24 at the St. Petersburg Coliseum. Guests will also learn about volunteer opportunities at the shelter.
Volunteer positions are available seven days a week, mornings and afternoons, to perform jobs that range from feeding and exercising dogs to answering phones. Volunteer applications may be picked up at the shelter office.
Pet Pal's shelter is at 405 22nd St. South, four blocks south of Central Avenue.
