Festival, wine tasting event to benefit animal rescues

GULFPORT – There will be an animal rescue fundraising festival on Saturday, March 1, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Beach Boulevard in downtown Gulfport.
The event is free to the public. Dogs are welcome. Call 323-3892.
The event will feature 100 food and merchandise vendors, nonprofit animal rescues, agility demonstrations, microchipping, silent auctions and raffles and adoptable pets. Interested vendors may download an application online at www.getrescuedingulfport.com.
The festival will be followed by Get Rescued ... In Gulfport, an animal fund-raising wine tasting, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom, 5500 Shore Blvd. S.
Tickets are $25 and include a souvenir tasting glass.
