Tampa Bay Newspapers is “hoppy” to announce that Ally, a greyhound mix, is the April Pet of the Month Photo Contest winner.
Donna and Richard Seaman of Largo adopted her from the SPCA Tampa Bay, where she had been put up for adoption twice, before she was 1.5 years old. Ally is now 12 and a happy senior citizen who loves her mom and dad.
Ally is a social butterfly in their neighborhood, and when they are all outside, Ally strolls from house to house and plops down in neighbors’ yards to watch people go by. She loves to follow her humans’ every move and greets them with a stuffed animal when they get home.
Ally may be beginning to show signs of aging, but she still remains the most loyal, sweetest and loving dog that her parents could ask for.
“It is the greatest feeling in the world when I come home from work and she runs out to greet me with a stuffed animal in her mouth,” Donna said. “She will see my car coming up the street and guide me in as if I am an airplane landing.”
For being this month’s pet winner, Ally wins a $25 gift certificate to either Largo Feed or Park Feed in Pinellas Park.
