The Humane Society of Pinellas will host Adopt-a-Palooza, the largest pet adoption event in Pinellas County, on Sunday, May 18, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Long Center, 1501 N. Belcher Road, Clearwater.
This adoption event will feature more than 400 adoptable pets, 25 animal rescue organizations and more than 2,500 guests.
The Humane Society of Pinellas, the county’s largest no-kill animal shelter, has strived to meet the ever-changing needs of its pets for over 60 years. The organization’s dedication has culminated in its first Adopt-a-Palooza event, providing a free venue for fellow animal adoption organizations, potential adopters, pets and their owners to have the opportunity to shop among various vendors for unique products and services, as well as enjoy activities designed for people and animals, such as:
• People and pet-related vendors • Ask-A-Trainer sessions • Demonstrations and concessions • Affordable micro chipping
Sarah Brown, executive director of the Humane Society of Pinellas, said in a press release that the organization is committed to finding the right homes for every animal in its care.
“We’re excited to have the opportunity to facilitate an event that invites fellow pet rescue organizations to join us in finding homes for their pets, as well as ours,” said Brown. “We’ve seen success with similar events before and we hope to reach even higher adoption numbers than we have in past years.”
Adopt-a-Palooza provides several sponsorship opportunities for local businesses and nonprofits who will receive a prime vendor location, recognition in the event’s program and commemorative photos. The vendor registration fee is waived for not-for-profit rescue organizations.
