Animal hospital plans fifth annual dog wash

PINELLAS PARK – The Medicine River Animal Hospital on June 16 will hold its fifth annual dog wash from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Proceeds will go to benefit such organizations as the Southeastern Guide Dogs Inc., Pinellas Animal Foundation, Save Our Strays, Project Pup, the Humane Society, Gold Coast Greyhound Rescue, Coastal Poodle Rescue, Sunshine Corgi Rescue and others.
Dogs will be shampooed and towel dried, but not groomed, for $15. Animals must be people- and dog-friendly, healthy and current on vaccinations.
Events will include the third annual Bow Wow Bikini Contest for dogs, acupuncture and whirlpool demonstrations, information on hurricane preparedness for pets and more.
The event will take place at 11141 U.S. 19.
