PINELLAS PARK - A dog bite prevention seminar will be held Thursday, Sept. 28, at the Pinellas Park Public Library. The 90-minute event is jointly sponsored by SPOT, Stop Pet Overpopulation Tampa Bay and local dog trainer Maria Praias.
"This is an important event for parents and dog owners because 50 percent of children under 12 will be bitten," Pamela Borres, SPOT spokeswoman, said. Dog bites are preventable by showing children how to interact with dogs. Call Borres at 545-3463.
