LARGO – A new series of dog obedience classes offered by Pinellas County Animal Services starts Oct. 16 with subsequent sessions offered beginning Jan. 8, Feb. 26 and March 19.
The lessons, taught by professional trainers, offer help with basic dog behavior, such as primary commands (sit, stay, heal), walking on a leash, waiting and door manners among others. The class is open to all dog owners whether the pet was adopted from Pinellas County Animal Services or elsewhere.
The classes, for dog owners and their canines, are held at Pinellas County Animal Services on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m. The six-week course is limited to 10 registrants. Tuition is $100 for all six weeks.
Interested parties must submit their class registration and tuition payment in advance of the start of each class session. Registration forms are available at the Pinellas County Animal Services facility or online at www.pinellascounty.org/animalservices.
