CLEARWATER – Morton Plant Hospital will present the Dog & Baby Connection class Tuesday, Oct. 16, 6:30 to 8 p.m., in the Powell Pavilion Conference Room, First Floor, at Morton Plant Hospital, 300 Pinellas St.
Bringing a new baby home is a big adjustment for the whole household, including four-legged family members. Morton Plant Hospital will offer a class to help families with dogs with this adjustment and to teach techniques and safety practices for interaction with toddlers.
In the Dog & Baby Connection class, parents will learn positive, practical and fun solutions to common challenges families face during children’s early developmental years. Parents will learn how to read their dog’s cues, how to introduce the baby and dog, and more.
The class, which is being taught by Amy Weeks, CPDT-KA, a licensed Dog & Baby Connection presenter, is for parents only.
Family members are welcomed, but participants should not bring their dogs. The class is free, but class size is limited.
