Editor: I have lived locally all my life. I have visited the Belleview Biltmore Resort and Spa many times, and she holds such tremendous memories for us. I have often strolled her halls with my young children who are fascinated by this historical gem, have dined there often from lunch to dinner and had many ice cream and coffee breaks at Masie’s.
My family from New Orleans insist on staying there when visiting, and they don’t stay just anywhere. They have tried other hotels on the beach, but come back to the Biltmore exclusively.
This historical treasure has an old-world charm and atmosphere that is so lacking in today’s culture. And neither Belleair nor Pinellas County can afford to lose this beautiful and wonderful piece of history.
