Editor: I am writing to you about the fireworks set off in Madeira Beach this year on July 4.
To tell you the truth, the fireworks were a joke. You could see St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island and Clearwater, but the fireworks set off in Madeira were absolutely ridiculous.
We were complaining and a soldier who was back from being deployed asked us not to complain because he was just trying to enjoy his night.
I feel really bad about that, but he doesn’t understand that the taxpayers in this city have been waiting for a nice fireworks display for at least the past two years.
I wanted you to know how ridiculous this fireworks display was, without a last finale.
