Rookie is candidate for District 50
Article published on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006
Re: Candice Jovan, candidate for Florida House District 50 on Democratic ticket
Editor:
A breath of fresh political air has entered District 50 with the first-time candidacy of Candice “Candi” Jovan. She is the answer to the question: “Why don’t good people run for office?” District 50 is comprised of northern Largo, parts of Clearwater and Safety Harbor.

Candi has lived in Pinellas County for 27 years. She currently resides in Safety Harbor with her husband, Vic. Most of her volunteer work is with children followed by her work as an animal advocate. She also is a TV producer with Public Access Pinellas featuring informative community programs.

Those of us who know her personally admire her “can do” attitude based on her high moral values and genuine concern for all the residents of District 50 and all the citizens of Florida for whom she will legislate for the greater good.

With deeds and not words, Candi will give a new meaning to the concept of “public service” which too often has been transformed by our state and federal legislators into special interests.

Candi Jovan is indeed a “breath of fresh air” to those who seek the “common good” and the best and the brightest in our State Legislature.
