The race for governor
Article published on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006
Editor:
Isn’t it amazing indeed when one considers the huge amount of press and television coverage allotted to our state’s candidates for public office? While appreciated as informative, particularly as in the governor’s race, it can be confusing.

The problem is where can we voters turn to find the candidate or candidates with the answers that best fit our needs?

I’d say to search our minds and hearts to try to determine which candidate for governor possesses the strength of purpose, wide experience in politics, dynamic presence and the “caring for people” factor.

Then cast your vote, sit back and patiently wait with the realization that the governor you helped elect could, some years from now, become America’s president.

Will you be ready, Charlie Crist?
