Editor: Without question, historians will document the twilight of the 21st century as the American renaissance of decadence. Indeed, we have become a nation that has lost its sense of values and common decency.
The First Amendment has lost its sense of values and common decency. The First Amendment is no longer worth the paper it’s written on. In fact, whenever the solemnity of this act is being violated, I unleash a litany of expletives that would make a drunken sailor on shore leave sound like William Shakespeare.
Does anyone seriously believe that those honorable Americans who crafted this sacred edict would validate and condone the perversion of a crucifix in a jar of urine, lewd rock and rap lyrics, pornography, lap dancing and the use of the vulgar four-letter word for copulating now being spoken on cable television?
Surely, our merchants of smut have contaminated every facet of our children’s environment. Clearly, the First Amendment has lost its virginity. How sad … we have betrayed our founding fathers.
