Editor: Fourteen people have lost their lives due to domestic violence this year in Pinellas County.
Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the victims.
It is essential that this community continues to have domestic violence preventative services available so hopefully, this tragedy will never affect another family.
Toward that purpose, The Haven of RCS is rebuilding its Outreach Center to ensure that help and hope is available to anyone who needs it.
As the holidays approach and we remember those people for whom we are thankful, The Haven of RCS would like to thank all the wonderful volunteers and supporters who have helped raise awareness, given their time, talents and most of all treasures to make sure victims and their children have the services they need to stay safe.
From those we serve, thank you as we look to a future where every home in Pinellas County will be a safe home.
