Editor: In the Nov. 22 edition, two letters made the claim that the Republican Party is made up of angry white men who disdain women and minorities.
Nothing could be further from the truth. The original letter was referring to people who seem to believe that for whatever reason they are entitled to a handout from the government with no expectation of contributing anything to the betterment of society.
These parasites – who come from all walks of life – are responsible for the trillions of dollars in debt the nation is currently facing.
The Republican Party is a big tent that welcomes everyone who shares our belief in limited government and personal responsibility.
It is a pity that letter writers have missed that simple point.
