Editor: Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who came to our aid last Thursday, Dec. 5 when we were knocked off our bicycles by a car at the junction of Blind Pass Road and 75th Avenue, St Pete Beach.
We were so touched by your help and support: calling 911; bringing us water; blocking the traffic with your car to restrict the traffic; and staying with us while we waited for the emergency services. Your kindness is very much appreciated, and reassures us (two Brits) that we have chosen the right place for our part-time retirement home.
Amazingly, nothing was broken, although we suffered a few stitches, abrasions, cuts and bruises. Thanks too to all those in the emergency services who were on the scene to help us out, and the staff at Bayfront Medical Center. Hopefully we will be on the mend by the time you read this.
