LARGO - Discover the fun of volunteering and become a part of the excitement at Heritage Village during a New Volunteer Open House on Saturday, Feb.16 at 1 p.m. Heritage Village is looking for people who enjoy learning and sharing the history of Pinellas County to serve as volunteers at its 21-acre living history museum.
The open house offers a chance to explore volunteer opportunities and available training. Just six hours per month commitment is all you need. Find out more about available positions and flexible morning or afternoon scheduling. Discover what it’s like to spend time in the peaceful enclave of Old Florida surrounded by native pine woods and more than two dozen historical structures that tell the tale of bygone days.
Volunteers help bring Heritage Village to life for visitors, young and old. Volunteer positions are available for docents/tour guides, receptionists, greeters and gift shop volunteers. Other unique volunteer opportunities include supporting day-to-day upkeep to help Heritage Village look its best.
Caretakers and maintenance assistants perform light upkeep and park opening and closing routines. Grounds assistants help with museum landscape upkeep. Plan on staying after the open house to meet current volunteers and tour the park.

Heritage Village is located at 11909 125th St. N. in Largo. This living history museum brings more than 150 years of local history to life. Tour 28 authentic buildings and structures, and experience historical Pinellas County through hands-on exploration. Paths wind through 21 acres and connect with the Florida Botanical Gardens and the Florida Gulf Coast Center for Fishing and Interactive Museum.
