ST. PETERSBURG - The Tampa Bay Rays sold out their home opener against the New York Yankees on Monday, April 13, during a pre-sale to Rays Insider subscribers on Feb. 26.
Registered online subscribers were e-mailed a presale password Thursday morning, allowing them to be eligible to purchase tickets online.
A limited number of tickets were still available as part of Rays season ticket packages, starting at just $213. Season tickets can be purchased at raysbaseball.com or 888-FAN-RAYS.
Single game tickets to the general public, online via raysbaseball.com, began on Friday, Feb. 27.
Tickets are available for the remaining games of the home-opening three-game series against the Yankees, which kicks off “Championship Week” at Tropicana Field. Those two games each feature premium fan giveaways. On Tuesday, April 14, the Rays will give away replicas of the American League Championship rings to all fans and on Wednesday, April 15 all fans will receive commemorative American League Championship cowbells.
Opening Day tickets are also available at Stub Hub, the Official Fan to Fan Ticket Marketplace of raysbaseball.com.
Single-game tickets go on-sale through all other outlets on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 9 a.m., including the Tropicana Field Box Office, the Rays Tampa Office located at 400 N. Tampa Street, International Plaza’s main concierge desk, all Ticketmaster outlets and via Ticketmaster phone charge at 727- 898-RAYS and 813-282-RAYS, raysbaseball.com and raysbeisbol.com.
