SEMINOLE – Tampa Bay Newspapers will launch a new monthly publication in Dunedin, Friday, March 28.
The free community newspaper, called the Dunedin Beacon, will include news about community events, festivals, religious activities, entertainment, local government, schools, people, health, crime and businesses in Dunedin in the surrounding area.
Similar to other Tampa Bay Newspapers’ publications, the newspaper will have articles written by staff editors, correspondents and columnists.
“All of us at TBN are excited to begin publication of the Dunedin Beacon,” said Publisher Dan Autrey. “Dunedin is one of the most active and lively communities in Pinellas County, making it a great place to have a community newspaper. Some folks might think we are a little crazy for starting a new publication at this time, but I believe it shows just how confident we are in the vitality of the community.”
Readers can submit news about upcoming community events, meetings and other activities in Dunedin to editorial@TBNweekly.com. Wedding and engagement announcements also are accepted.
Tampa Bay Newspapers publishes the Seminole, Beach and Pinellas Park Beacons, Largo Leader, Belleair and Beach Bees and Clearwater Citizen. The combined circulation of the publications is 123,000.
