Top school volunteers receive honors

PINELLAS COUNTY – The following Top 10 Outstanding School Volunteers have been selected for their unique contributions and dedication to quality education.
Nominees were selected in four categories: One youth, adult and senior from each area (I, II, and III) and workforce development district wide. The winners from these respective areas are as follows.
Area I
Youth – Alicia Pearson, Bauder Elementary (Principal, Janet Q. Johnston)
Adult – Rhonda Thompson, Tarpon Springs Elementary (Principal, Leah J. Pappas)
Senior – Morris Gutterman, Leila G. Davis Elementary (Principal, Carol L. Hughes)
Area II
Youth – Kateline Tobergte, Starkey Elementary (Principal, Kenneth MacKenzie)
Adult – Whitney Cohen, Bay Vista Fundamental Elementary (Principal, Kristen G. Sulte)
Senior – Carl Wise, Cross Bayou Elementary (Principal, Marcia Stone)
Area III
Youth – Sarah Minich, Countryside High (Principal, Gerald M. Schlereth)
Adult – Kathleen Flareau, Pinellas Park High (Principal, Denise Hart)
Senior – Ruby Francis, Lealman Intermediate (Principal, Cheryl DiCicco)
Workforce development
Adult – Ann Palmer, Tomlinson Adult Learning Center (Administrator, Dr. Debby VanderWoude)
