CLEARWATER - Applications are now being accepted for a two-year appointment to the Tampa Bay Estuary Program Community Advisory Committee.
Members of the Community Advisory Committee are expected to communicate at least once a year with their local elected officials to support program funding and inform elected officials of progress in restoring Tampa Bay.
Members volunteer for at least one program-sponsored activity or special event per year. Members represent the Tampa Bay Estuary Program on other committees and boards, local communities and agencies and schools and community groups.
Applicants must live or work in Hillsborough, Manatee or Pinellas counties and attend three meetings per year, held on Wednesdays from 3 to 5 p.m. in St. Petersburg. Interested parties should submit an application to be considered for this vacancy.
To be considered for appointment to the committee, all applications must be received by the end of business on Friday, March 14. Pinellas County Commissioner Charlie Justice will review all resumes and make an appointment to the Tampa Bay Estuary Program Community Advisory Committee.
