Teddy bears help prevent blindness

PINELLAS COUNTY – March is Prevent Blindness Month and the Pinellas County Tax Collector and Prevent Blindness Florida will raise funds for free eye-screening for children through the sixth annual statewide Sight Saver Campaign.
Participants can adopt-a-bear for a donation of $10 or more for an 8-inch cuddly Teddy bear wearing a “Prevent Blindness” T-shirt.
Donations can be made at all Pinellas County Tax Collector offices, open weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 464-5025.
