Registration for new kindergarteners begins April 23

LARGO - Parents of children who will begin kindergarten Aug. 21 may register at their child’s assigned school April 23-May 4.
Required documents include: the child’s birth certificate, proof of residency, certificate of immunization, report from a physical exam that is no more than one year old and the letter from student assignment with the child’s school listed.
Parents who applied for a school assignment during the attendance area application period last month are being notified in writing this week of the child’s school. Parents who did not apply prior to the March 24 deadline must call or visit a Family Education and Information Center to get a school assignment.

- 1101 Marshall St., Clearwater, 727-298-2858. Hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- 3420 Eighth Ave. S, St. Petersburg, 727-552-1595. Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
