ST. PETERSBURG - The Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County recently announced that Brian Jaruszewski has been named Chief Financial Officer. Jaruszewski officially began his employment on March 31.
In his role as CFO, Jaruszewski will plan, direct and supervise the work of the professional staff and administrative support personnel engaged in the activities of budget preparation and analysis, contract management, and Information Technology planning and implementation.
Jaruszewski will oversee all vendor and contract compliance, develop and maintain systems of interior controls to safeguard JWB financial assets, and monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results and initiating any necessary corrective actions in conjunction with the executive director.
Jaruszewski will work with the Pinellas County Tax Collector’s Office to establish projections for ad valorem revenues for forecasting revenues and millage rates. He will oversee the preparation and presentation of the annual budget and budget forecast, and coordinate the annual TRIM (Truth in Millage) public hearings in compliance with Florida Statute.
Jaruszewski has more than ten years of progressively-responsible public sector experience in the areas of finance, IT systems, and government contracting.
