Some Pinellas County government offices will close on Wednesday, April 30, for Employee Appreciation Day at Sand Key Park, which will be closed to the public until 4 p.m.
The list of offices to be closed includes:
Board of Commissioners offices
Building and Development Review Services (permits and inspections)
Department of Environment and Infrastructure
Justice and Consumer Services
Offices of the Constitutional Officers will be open, including the Sheriffs Office, Tax Collector, Property Appraiser, Clerk of the Circuit Court and Supervisor of Elections.
The courts of the Sixth Judicial Circuit (Pinellas and Pasco) will be in session and operating under normal hours.
The Solid Waste Administration Building and HEC3 will be open. The scalehouse/landfill will remain open.
Public areas of other county parks and preserves also will remain open. The Environmental Education Center at Brooker Creek Preserve and the Cultural and Natural History Center at Weedon Island Preserve are normally closed on Wednesdays. Heritage Village and the Florida Botanical Gardens will be open.
Regular hours of operation at all county facilities will resume on Thursday, May 1.
