CLEARWATER - The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Detention and Corrections Bureau and Keefe are now offering a new service to friends and families of Pinellas County Jail inmates.
The new service, called Access Secure Deposits, allows family members and others to deposit funds electronically into an inmate’s commissary fund from anywhere there is phone or Internet service.
Citizens interested in depositing money into the commissary account of a Pinellas County Jail inmate can make the deposit in three ways:
First, through Access Secure Deposits kiosks located in the Video Visitation Center or the Public Lobby of the Jail – at Central Division. Deposits can be made with cash or credit cards. There is a convenience fee charged for this transaction.
The second method of deposit can be by telephone by calling toll-free, 1-866-345-1884. A convenience fee will also be charged with this option.
The third method can be done online from anywhere by visiting www.inmatedeposits.com. A convenience fee will also be assessed with this option.
According to Sheriff Bob Gualtieri, “This technology will be a convenience for the inmates and those assisting them.”
Any questions about the Access Secure Deposits program can be directed to Captain Tim Downs, 727-453-7391.
