In the third round of National Merit Scholarship announcements, nine Pinellas County School students have been awarded scholarships, ranging between $500 and $2,000. These seniors join five other district seniors who were announced earlier this month as winners. The final round of scholarship awards is in July.
Scholarship finalists presented outstanding academic records, earned SAT scores that demonstrated qualifying test performance and provided an essay describing activities, interests and future goals. Winners were selected based on the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills and potential for success at each participating university.
