Sheriff’s Office releases details about Bollea’s life in jail

PINELLAS COUNTY – The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office released Nick Bollea’s daily schedule and photos of a protective custody cell identical to his on Tuesday afternoon.

The information was released in response to numerous media requests, according to a press release.

Bollea is currently serving an eight month sentence after pleading no contest to charges of felony reckless driving with serious bodily injury.

Bollea is currently housed in a protective custody, single person cell in the maximum security division of the Pinellas County Jail. He has been in the care and custody of the Pinellas County Jail since May 9, 2008.

Bollea’s cell is a single person cell, furnished with a stainless steel shower, which can be used any time, a toilet, mirror, writing desk with stool, shelf, and bunk with mattress. There are two windows.

Bollea’s receives his breakfast at about 3:30 a.m. in his cell. He works in the inmate property section from about 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily except for Saturday and Sunday. He has his lunch at about 10:30 a.m. in the inmate property section.

Bollea is allowed visitation time from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Friday and Sunday via a video visitation booth in an area located down the hall from his cell. He receives his dinner at about 4 p.m. in his cell.

Other daily activities that take place outside his cell include: Attorney visits, recreation of one hour and several daily phone calls.

Other services include delivery of inmate library books, chaplain services, inmate mail, law library materials available upon requests and commissary items.
