Schools receive multicultural honors

PINELLAS COUNTY – The Principal’s Multicultural Advisory Committee honored numerous schools in Pinellas County with awards April 24. The following local schools were recognized:

• PMAC Principal Leadership Awards – Principal Marsha Jordon of Anona Elementary in Largo.

• The Most Comprehensive Multicultural Program award – Clearwater High; Nina Harris School in Pinellas Park; Skyview Elementary in Pinellas Park.

• The Programs of Distinction Award – Pinellas Park Middle; Richard L. Sanders School in Pinellas Park; Clearwater Avenue Elementary; Eisenhower Elementary in Clearwater; Anona Elementary in Largo.

• The Programs on the Move Award – Seminole High; Pinellas Central Elementary in Pinellas Park; Southern Oak Elementary in Largo.

• The Programs of Honor Award – Coachman Fundamental in Clearwater; Kings Highway Elementary in Clearwater; Starkey Elementary in Seminole; Walsingham Elementary in Largo.
