Francis G. Cumings
Francis G. Cumings, 86, of Sun City Center, passed away Friday, March 28, 2008. Mr. Cumings was born in Lowell, MA, and moved here in 1962 from Tewksbury, MA, where he was a firefighter. He was a U.S. Army WWII veteran and was active with the Boy Scouts. He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine.

Althea M. Mathews
Althea M. Mathews, 99, formerly of Largo, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008 in Lorain, OH. She worked as a secretary for George Feaster at Feaster Memorial Homes from 1964-1984. She was an active member of Highland Presbyterian Church, Largo. Mother of Chase B. Heyman, Norwalk, OH, Douglas W. (Carol) Mathews, Lorain, & Dawn M. (Vince) Moreno, Lorain; grandmother of 12; great-grandmother of 25 and great-great-grandmother of 11. Funeral services were held in Lorain, OH.

Sam Patterson
Sam Patterson of Holiday passed away May 21, 2008, at home under Hospice care after a hard fought battle with cancer. Sam, born in Dunedin in 1947, was a USAF veteran and served during the Vietnam War. He made helping challenged senior citizens his life’s work. Sam was fascinated by and collected Earth rocks and minerals but, most of all, he loved his family. He leaves behind his wife, Mary, of Holiday; daughter, Heidi, of Clearwater, mother, Rena Patterson Ihnen, of Clearwater Beach; brother, Tony Blue, of Seminole; his dog, Zoey, and three stepchildren from Holiday plus many good friends. He will be greatly missed.
