The Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners is now accepting applications for an appointment to the Public Employee Relations Commission. The appointment term is four years. Meetings are held as needed.
PERC is responsible for resolving collective bargaining questions by public employees as well as considering charges of unfair labor practices and violations of state statutes that prohibit strikes by public employees.
To qualify, applicants must be a person who, on account of previous vocation, employment, or affiliation, is, or has been, classified as a representative of employees, and cannot be employed by or hold any commission with a governmental unit in the state or any employee organization, as defined in Article IV of the Pinellas County Code of Ordinances.
Upon reviewing all applications, the county administrator will select the appointee and with the concurrence of the constitutional officers make a recommendation for approval by the County Commissioners at a future meeting.
Please Note: All materials submitted to Pinellas County government are subject to the public records law of the State of Florida.
