ST. PETERSBURG - In recognition of National Homeownership Month, Pinellas County is participating in the annual Homeownership for People Everywhere Expo, Saturday, June 28, from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Raymond James Financial Center, 880 Carillon Parkway, Tower 4, in St. Petersburg.
This year’s event will feature more than 25 exhibitors, including lenders, Realtors, home inspectors, credit counselors and down payment assistance programs. The Community Revitalization Division of the Pinellas County Health and Community Services department and the Housing Finance Authority of Pinellas County will be among the participants available to discuss down payment assistance.
Attendees can also register for a daylong homebuyer’s workshop, which is being offered in English and Spanish. The workshop provides a comprehensive overview of the home buying process. Those who complete the workshop will receive a certificate that satisfies the education requirements for a variety of affordable housing loans and down payment assistance programs. Seating for the workshop is limited and registration is required.
