LARGO – Antique experts of all kinds were on hand at Heritage Village on June 17 to provide appraisals of antiques and collectibles.
Experts appraised many items including Oriental rugs, Victorian jewelry, vintage books, guns and armor, Depression glass and other types of collectibles, musical stringed instruments and pre-1950 dolls.
Damon Hostetler of Clearwater brought in a .25 caliber automatic pistol, which his father brought back from World War II.
“I found out that it was worth about $350 because it’s got the original case and it’s in very good condition,” Hostetler said.
Judy Haines of Clearwater brought in a 150-year-old hunting dagger which she found after her husband passed away.
“I found this among other treasures that he had hidden that we knew nothing about,” Haines said.
Proceeds from the appraisal event benefited the Pinellas County Historical Society.
