Brighter Seasons for Children to collect school supplies

CLEARWATER – The AIDS Service Association of Pinellas Inc., a division of The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, requests contributions for the Brighter Seasons for Children Back-to-School program.
Children in this program have been affected by serious illness in their families, and purchasing school supplies is often a hardship. Its goal is to provide children ages 4 to 18, with backpacks and supplies to start the school year on a positive note. Supplies and monetary donations will be gratefully accepted.
Some of the items needed include: portfolios or trapper keepers, calendars, planners, pencils, pens, notebooks, notebook paper, folders, markers, color pencils, crayons, highlighters, 1- and 2-inch binders, red pens, calculators, dictionaries and thesauruses, rulers, erasers, pencil sharpeners, glue sticks and glue, wet wipes, hand sanitizers, paper towels and tissues.
Donations can be dropped off by Monday, July 24, at The Hospice’s St. Petersburg Community Service Center and ASAP lobby, 3050 First Ave. S.; ACP’s Clearwater office, 1214 Cleveland St.; and The Hospice’s Community Service Centers, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater; and 2675 Tampa Road, Palm Harbor.
