Low cost, free physicals scheduled

PINELLAS COUNTY – Community Health Centers of Pinellas Inc. has scheduled several events to offer low cost and free physicals to school aged children.
In an effort to provide low cost and free schools physicals, the following opportunities are available in Pinellas County:
• Aug. 4 through 15 – Community Health Centers at Tarpon Springs, 301 S. Disston Ave., Tarpons Springs. School physicals will be offered for students entering kindergarten through 12th grade. Cost is $15.
• Saturday, Aug. 9 – Historic Mercy Hospital Johnnie Ruth Clarke Health Center, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Junior League of St. Petersburg in partnership with Community Health Centers of Pinellas will offer free medical exams, dental exams, immunizations, vision screenings and school supplies for children entering kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Saturday, Aug. 16 – Pinellas Park Chamber of Commerce, 10 to 2 p.m. The chamber, at 6237 66th St., Pinellas Park, in conjunction with Community Health Centers at Pinellas Park, will offer free physicals for 5- to 17-year-olds. The event also will include free skating sessions from Astro Skate and free health checks for adults.
