ST. PETERSBURG – Duke Energy has launched a Florida speakers bureau to help customers better understand Florida’s energy issues as well as provide tips to help customers use energy more wisely and reduce costs.
“Energy is a vital resource that powers the economy and greatly enhances our quality of life,” said Alex Glenn, Duke Energy state president – Florida. “Through our speakers bureau, employees look forward to engaging our customers in a meaningful way about a topic that affects all of us.”
The presentation provides details of the company’s plan for a sustainable energy future and includes an overview of energy generation. It also provides energy-efficiency tips and tools to help consumers save power and money. The presentation is designed for all audiences from small groups to large events.
Duke Energy Florida, a subsidiary of Duke Energy, provides electricity and related services to approximately 1.7 million customers in Florida. The company is headquartered in St. Petersburg and serves a territory encompassing more than 20,000 square miles including the cities of St. Petersburg and Clearwater, as well as the central Florida area surrounding Orlando.
