The deadline is March 18 to apply for a statewide scholarship from the Elections Association. The scholarship is available to certain college juniors and seniors.
College juniors or seniors majoring in political science, public administration or business administration, journalism or mass communications at an accredited Florida college may be eligible for a scholarship!
The Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections, comprised of the 67 county supervisors, will award a $1,200 scholarship this year to an eligible student.
“I encourage students to take advantage of this opportunity to help with their college costs and apply for this scholarship before the deadline,” said Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Deborah Clark.
Requirements such as letters of recommendation and financial information are listed on the scholarship application and in the scholarship guidelines, which are available online at www.votepinellas.com.
Applications should be submitted in the county in which the student is registered to vote.
